: Baby Birds

In spring as baby birds learn to fly quite often they fall out of their nests a little bit earlier than they should. ( Falling with style) . We have a lot of them picked up and brought into the Bondi Junction Vet. If they are uninjured it is better to leave them where they are in the case of larger birds such as magpies and currawongs as their parents will still feed them and fend off predators. If they are small you could place them in a basket and hang the basket up in a tree away from cats so that their parents can feed them. This way they get the right food, are still with their family and more likely to survive. Please ring us if you have any questions about this.
